Welcome along to Viral Video Friday here at Lime Canvas. Time to get yourself a nice mug of scald, sigh a breath of relief because its the end of another long week and revel in the joy that a 1 min video can provide!

This week I’m focusing on the Internet sensation that is Sweet Brown because there have been LOTS of video’s made using her audio or video or both but during the week I discovered the first “advertisement” featuring Sweet Brown. America, home of the free and the brave and the company that will cash in on any notoriety going in the name of advertising.

Now for those of you who are wondering what the hell I’m talking about I’m going to play the first video I came across of Sweet Brown which will properly set the scene. For those of you already familiar with this lady, I’m sure the song in the 2nd half of the video will once again entertain.

Viral Video #1 – Sweet Brown Aint Nobody Got Time For That (Original Autotune Remix)

Originally a news clip for News Channel 4 that The Parody Factory turned into a ridiculously catchy song with a video. As happens on YouTube,  lots of people re-upped it on their accounts as a cheap shot method of getting traffic, which makes it very hard to properly measure how many people how now actually watched this video. However, there are 3 or 4 versions with more than 20 million views so although it was originally put up about 10 months ago it has really been a viral sensation.

Viral Video #2 – The advertisement

Shortline Dental have seemingly employed Sweet Brown to make the least subtle cash in on a phenomenon in the history of the world. That said it worked! The video went live on the 6th Feb and already has had more than 4 million views and more than a quarter of a million Facebook shares. That’s more viral than Ebola, and a lot more fun.
